Tips and Recipes for Homemade Body Lotions

Most of us have learned to rely on store-bought cosmetic products. We rarely think about the ingredients that our lotions, shampoos and body milks contain.

If you research cosmetic products and their ingredients, you will discover that they contain many chemicals, as well as harmful ingredients. Some of the substances used in lotions and other skin care products are even carcinogenic. Parabens are just one example of something you shouldn’t be putting on your skin.

Going for organic cosmetics is the best option. Nothing could be better than the preparation of your own, entirely organic body lotion.

Lotions are used to nourish and hydrate skin. Many of the products that you can find in your fridge and kitchen can be used for the preparation of homemade body lotions. Honey, olive oil, tomatoes and some fruits feature among the best ingredients that you can use for the preparation of a homemade, organic body lotion.

You can repeat this procedure on a daily basis.
